Review by S. Lamb : So far, so good!
I received this stroller as a gift. I've been using it for a couple of months now, and so far it's been great! It handles very, very well for a "bargain" priced stroller. As far as collapsing and lifting in and out of trunks, this is the easiest of my three strollers. The basket underneath is also the deepest of my three strollers. The overhead shade works GREAT ... it covers more angles than either of my other strollers. My only complaint is that the adult cup holders are too shallow. If I try to put a full bottle of water in it, it topples forward onto the baby's lap! That is potentially very dangerous. Otherwise, I'm very happy. I prefer this to my other more expensive strollers and use it on a daily basis.
Review by Mom of 2 : Great Stroller
I read several reviews before buying this stroller that mentioned a problem with the wheels, particularly the front wheel, but we still decided to buy the stroller and we are very glad that we did. We did not experience the problem with the wheels and we have worked this stroller HARD for almost 2 years now. I've run up to 10 miles at a time with it while training for a half-marathon, it's flown across the States and overseas and not been damaged. We've even used it to cart furniture around when we didn't have access to a dolly. This thing has performed over and above the call of duty. As far as comfort and all, it's been fine, our son's never complained, it's got a good amount of room in the basket underneath and runs well.
Review by Cassie S. : Good product, great customer service
We purchased the Baby Trend Expedition jogger for light running (10-15 miles per week). I specifically chose this model because it offered a swivel wheel option, which makes it much easier to maneuver around corners. I was disappointed to discover, like other reviewers, that the front wheel wobbled uncontrollably when jogging or brisk walking in the swivel wheel position. It also wasn't holding air for more than a day, and we had to keep re-inflating it before use.I immediately contacted Baby Trend customer service, and was more than impressed by their prompt answer and swift resolution to my problem. They quickly offered to send replacement parts, and we received them on the day they promised, less than a week later. However, after installing the parts we still had the same issue. We contacted customer service again, and they promptly sent us a postage paid fed ex label to ship the entire stroller back to them, where they repaired it and returned it to us in LESS THAN A WEEK.So, while I was unhappy that the wheel wobbled and was flat to begin with, it is working great now (they did manage to fix the problem), and I had to get on and give them a solid review for their impressive customer service. The rest of the stroller is fantastic, and we are happy with our purchase.
Review by MarisaLZ : Wheel Issues May Be User Error
Amidst the mixed reviews I still bought this stroller rather than the better rated Jeep stroller due to the cost, and I got it at additional sale at Target. When I went out jogging for the first time I did experience the shaking front wheel. I just thought that this must not be the stroller, there were too many instances of it occurring (via amazon.com reviews) for this to really be true! I went back and read the manual and it does state very clearly that the front wheel needs to be locked when jogging. This makes sense since classic jogging strollers have a fixed wheel. This stroller has a lock and unlock front wheel feature so that it can be used while jogging or as your everyday stroller. For the price so far I think this is a great jogging stroller and again I would imagine that most of the previous posts in reference to wheel problems were due to improper use. The only reason I gave this four instead of five stars is because, first I haven't used it too long to give a definite five stars and second, I do wish the straps holding baby in were a bit thicker or more cushioned.
Review by hurkamur1 : Buy this jogger!
This product is designed to accommodate the babytrend infant car seat, until the child is large enough to strap in without it. The car seat locks in facing towards the handles. My wife and i use this and a used babytrend snap n' go stroller given to us by a neighbor. If you have a babytrend infant car seat or a older baby they are both EXCELLENT products, sturdy construction and a nice glide. The only negative is, if you have limited trunk space it is a little hard to fit. The snap n' go stroller is a better option for quick transport. I'm extremely happy with the strollers and would recommend both of them for purchase.
Review by bmist2010 : Nice for the price!
I was hesitant to buy b/c of negative reviews having to do with a wobbly front wheel. I've had it a couple months, using it weekly, with no problems. The swivel wheel turned out not to be as necessary as I thought... Actually prefer locking it and pushing it on 2. Pros: Nice, smooth enough ride. Keep in mind there are no shocks so there's probably smoother rides out there for more $. My daughter seems comfortable. Very sleek, attractive stroller. Several compliments already. Seems to block the sun well enough. Came with the front wheel already attached!! Cons: Heavy & bulky, like most jogging strollers. Won't fit in our car trunk unless I pop off the back wheels, but they snap off & on without much trouble. Once off, it lays very flat. Just wouldn't use this as my "every day, everywhere" stroller. Also, we have a very shallow trunk so most may not have this issue. You have to recline it every time to fold. This is easy (draw-string) and not really a hassle. I generally feel very awkward trying to unfold, but maybe I still need to get the hang of it. It's so heavy, but I'm a small girl. Overall, very glad I listened to positive reviews and got it.
