Review by Momma22 : Stroller is very nice but so small! 3 Star

I never leave reviews but had to so I can try to explain the one flaw in this stroller. First off let me say this stroller is very very nice, great bright color , very nice material. I loved the swivel and storage was just fine for me. I love love love that it has two sun shades instead of only one for both kids. The seats are adjustable for each kid as well. The only huge flaw is the size of the seats. I have a one year old (21 pounds) and a four year old (35 pounds). The four year old had to tighten his arms together to squeeze himself into his side. His legs hung off the side and he had to sit sideways to put his legs up and out of the way of the wheel. It was rather sad :( The one year old as well looked as if he had already outgrown it as well. Such a shame because of the price and it did fit through normal doorways with a tight squeeze but its so narrow that its just too small. Loved it but returned and now hunting for a new affordable double.

Review by R. Fahler "book mama" : Good stroller for small children 3 Star

I have an eight month old and a nearly 3 year old. I already have a double Maclaran stroller that I use for the mall, traveling, etc but wanted a stroller that I could use for jogging and walks in the neighborhood. I used the stroller for one jog and it pushed very well. I liked the double sunshades that can be adjusted for the angle of the sun. The rubber inserts on the parent cupholders are a great feature since my water bottles always fell out of the shallow cupholders on my single jogger while I was jogging. There isn't too much storage - just the basket underneath and the parent tray. No pockets on the backs of the seats or on the sunshades like my single jogger has. However, the basket underneath is easy to get to and since I was using this primarily as a jogging stroller, I didn't have much to bring with me. I love that the front wheel locks/unlocks by pushing a button near the handlebar instead of having to bend over and flip a switch near the wheel. I got this stroller because I really liked the price range and I liked the snack and cup trays for the kids. Unfortunately, I am returning this stroller. My eight month old fit just fine but my almost 3 year old is 37.5" and was not comfortable. The seatback is only 17" tall so her head stuck up beyond the seatback so she couldn't rest her head back comfortably. Also, the way the seat is designed, her legs struck straight out instead of bending at the knee like she is sitting in a chair. As a result, one leg sort of rested on the wheel cover and the other dangled off. She tried to twist sideways and bend her legs so she could rest both on the wheel cover, but I could tell she wasn't comfortable. I am wanting to use this stroller for a couple more years and I know there will never be enough room for both of my girls' legs once the eight month old gets taller. This would be a great jogging stroller for anyone with younger and shorter kids. However, as the kids grow, there just isn't enough head or leg space.

Review by Daniel : Awesome Double Jogger! 5 Star

I got the Schwinn turismo today and of course took it for a test jog. It was easy to put together but my husband needed to put the screws in the plastic foot rest. I couldn't do it. The parent tray either. I love the double shades. I love that I can change it from swivel mode to straight for jogging with out bending over. I had a double baby jogger city series and I think I love this one more! Didn't think that would be possible. I don't have the baby jogger because I sold it after thinking I wasn't going to have anymore children. The fold of the stroller is not as easy and manuevering is not as refined as baby jogger. It also doesn't have lifetime garantee like baby jogger just 5 years. The quality however I find is really suprisingly good! The price is fantastic, I got mine for $229 no shipping no tax. When I was purchasing I also looked at the instep safari grand that most people have reviewed it looks very similar to this one but it only comes with one year warranty. That's why I chose this one because I know I will have this stroller for at least 2 more years. I don't want to have to pay more money if something breaks. more things I love: spoke tires I think they look cool, the color royal blue is probably my favorite color, parent and kid trays. I made the right decision buying this stroller and so will you! Highly recommend.

Review by Mohan chitoor : Satisfied 4 Star

I guess it's a fairly new product since I can't seem to find any reviews for it anywhere. We have a 2 year old and a 2 month old, and wanted a stroller for every day walks and occasional trips. We don't expect to do much jogging (read almost none) but wanted the larger bicycle type wheels for a softer ride. We've had this about a week now and are very pleased with it. Some points they don't mention in the description- -The handlebar height is adjustable -the front wheel can be locked and unlocked remotely from a button and trigger gimmick located just in front of the handlebar (yeah for you joggers!) -it comes with speakers (placed in mesh pockets in the sun shades) that you can connect to an mp3 player -The seat belts can be adjusted to 3 different heights -parents also get two cup holders (with rubber inserts, no less, to keep your drink from spilling!) and a small caddy to hold keys/ cell phone/ mp3 player etc. The seat backs recline individually and are adjusted by tightening/loosening a belt, but the way they're adjusted is much easier that some others I've seen. The seat backs are about 17"- 18" tall, unlike some 12-13" ones I've seen. The seats are reclined back a bit even in the most 'upright' setting but if you want your kid to to be able to look out and front more easily, you can use the seat insert to prop his/her head. It's very easy to maneuver and seems to have a really soft ride (the kids bottoms will thank you :) ) The size and weight are the only gripes I have about this stroller. It's fairly heavy and very large (even though the rear wheels can be snapped off) when folded (takes up 3/4 of the space in my mid size SUV). It should fit into the trunk of a standard car but you wouldn't have room for too much else. Considering what you pay for it - it's a great buy.

Review by John S "Regular Joe" : It's not fair to compare it to a Bob, but let's do that. 5 Star

This review is not meant to be a truely in depth head-to-head, but hopefully will get you thinking when you do your comparison shopping. For those die-hard "got-to-have-the-absolutely-most-expensive-that-my-friends-will-recongnize" this will not be the stroller for you. This stroller is, according to my scale, two pounds lighter than the Bob Dualie. It comes with cup holders for the adult, it comes with cup holders/snack tray for the children, the Bob Dualie does not have either included (although they are avialable for purchase $$$). The Schwinn (Pacific Cycle) has adjustable handlebar, the Bob Dualie does not. This one is, comperably equipped about $400-$450 cheaper than the Bob. It's made in China, but the Bob is made in... China (this one would have swayed me to purchase the Bob despite it's shortcommings and high price, but oh well). This stroller has a handlebar positioned front wheel lock, the bob requires you to stop and fiddle with some knob. Its aluminum wheels and ball bearing wheels roll well enough. It's front wheel had adjustable cup-cone bearings, and were (suprisingly) well adjusted from the factory. The rear wheels were non-adjustable, but that seems par for these types of strollers. I'm a little dissapointed in it's radial spoke configuration, it looks fancy, but mechanically loads the spokes more than the traditional cross-spoke configuration (bike manufacutres for years have sacrified mechanical strenth in wheel sets for cool factor, so I can't fault the Chineese manufacurer for this). Yes the fake sheepskin covers are removable by slipping them out of the harness, I saw one reviewer say that you had to cut them (I imagine they were challenged with opening the cardboard box too). The Bob does have an infant car seat adapter (available $eperately). This one would take some jerry rigging to safely secure a child seat (read only for those mechanically inclined to do so). The Bob will definitly get you yuppie points while cruizing to your local Starbucks. This stroller will only let you stash away $400 into an interest bearing account for your children's college fund (that's kinda hard to brag about while waiting for your double-almond decaf vanilla frappachino, then again if you skip the frapachinos you could probably double that figure).Whichever you choose I'm sure you'll be happy.PS, for those who do purchase this one: The TWO (2) speakers are both packed together in the same pouch. You must seperate them (they stick together because of the magnets of the speaker) and uncoil the wire. When seperated, they work okay for the kids, but don't expect a Bose quality.

Review by M. ADAMS : Best buy compared to all other joggers 4 Star

Schwinn Turismo Swivel Double Jogger4 starsBottom line, it is insane to drop 700 bucks on a double jogging stroller that is far from perfect. This one is great, and it is even better than some other double jogging strollers we tested. (We looked at most of them. BOB, Mountain Duo, Bumbleride, Valco Baby, BabyTrend, etc.) There is no one stroller which has everything we wanted (adjustable handlebar, adjustable canopies, large/reachable storage basket, well-designed parent tray, easy to fold and store, narrow enough to fit through doors, individual foot rest, weight, etc.) We researched this purchase for over a month. Finally, we decided to purchase the Schwinn online from WalMart because at $220 it looked like it would fit most of our needs, and so we could return it to the local store if it didn't work out. (This model wasn't available for any test drives in the stores that we visited including fancy baby stores, bike shops, and REI). If consumer reports reviewed these things, this would be a best buy.General Impressions: - wheel size matters. the bigger the wheel the cushier the ride (and push.) - one front wheel is definitely better than two (for us, anyway), especially for jogging. It is plenty stable. We just thought 4 wheels felt awkward. when jogging, pushing with two wheels in the front is much harder-- the more wheels the more friction. we greatly preferred one wheel in front. - fits 3 1/2 year old girl in 50th percentile just fine. feet dangle but she doesn't care. she just moves them around as needed. there's enough head room because the canopies are effective (and can be individually adjusted) but not massive. the reason we didn't buy the $700 BOB was that the canopies were so large that the material compromised head space for our older child. also, our kids like to look out. we're not trying to cover them up 100%. just enough to block the direct sun as needed. - smooth, easy pushing - with wheel locked, works great for jogging. I ran pretty at 50-75 percent sprint for a hundred yards or so on a dirt trail without any problemsPros: - handlebar control for locking front wheel is an amazing feature. It's otherwise not feasible to wheel the thing into doors at the top of steps. We tried with the BOB and it was comedy material. - Folding and storage is comparable with other jogging strollers. Easily fits in our Highlander with wheels off with some (not a ton) of room to spare. Also, with wheels off it stands up easily (maybe even with wheels on--i haven't ever tried it). -nice quality material and the red looks great and is easily visible by others (cars, bikes, etc.) nice safety feature. -nice adjustable handle. -great wheels, suspension -easily adjustable seat incline for each seat. -nice lamb inserts for the baby. -nice child tray for each kid (although we wish the snack cup were bigger with an insert so you could pick what size you want depending on what you have in there (snack cup, water bottle) -decent parent console; same comment on size of cup holders. Parent console does not fit an iPhone but my wife just puts hers in the cup holder.Cons: - seats not extremely well padded, like e.g. BOB. This is very minor, kids don't need fancy padding, frankly. Did you have fancy padding when you were a kid? - wish there was a metal rod between the two footbrakes. there is a hole in each brake for one, but it would probably get caught on the pole between the back wheels (to which the runaway strap is supposed to be connected--overall, it's a good thing to have the strap connected at the bottom than up at the handle bars where it could tip the whole thing if you fell). Such a rod would make it flip-flop friendly. - it's basically too wide to get in and out of a standard doorway on any regular basis (it does fit, but not easily), but the same thing goes for all of the double joggers (actually some are narrower at 29" but they have two wheels in the front and are $700.) We even brought a BOB home to test it out and it's just not easy. Since we don't have a garage, our solution is to store it in the trunk of our SUV. - bottom compartment is big, but it's divided in two by a canvas separator thus impairing utility. works fine just not for a large diaper bag. -ours arrived with only one speaker. would have requested another if we cared about playing music for the kids but we don't.

Review by siouxz : Get Out and RUN! 5 Star

I HIGHLY recommend this jogging stroller to anyone looking to get back into shape. It is easy to put together (I did it in less than 30minutes)and it's easy to fold up and carry around (it took me a few trys to learn how to fold it up but within 2 uses I have it down pat!) The visor is great for when wind is coming at the kids because it swivels down in front of them. There is room for your MP3 player in the area of the speaker (a few reviews said they had to put it in cup holder, not true) and the button to push for the locking swivel wheel is wonderful. I normally have it swiveling but when I pick up the pace or am heading down a hill I lock it up to have more control. I have gone on 2 different runs with the stroller to test it out, 4 miles on hilly roads and 7 miles on a dirt/gravel path. I am 100% statisfied with the product!

Review by Jordan Jensen : VERY Pleased! 5 Star

I looked and studied and reviewed ALOT of strollers and kept coming back to this one, for the price-it's amazing, it has everything I could ask for! The only thing it doesn't have is a hand brake, but my sister owns a BOB and she doesn't have one either, she said she never needs one. I am so thrilled with my new stroller. The sun shade moves all the way forward so if the sun is in the way it will shade their eyes. love it!

Review by J.Kelly : Wonderful! 5 Star

I have tried many different types of strollers...joggers, inline doubles, Phil & Teds, sit and stands, and by far this is the best we have ever purchased. It was quick and easy to put together. Invest in a cheap tire/ball pump...you will need it for any jogging stroller. We have a 3 year old and an 18 month old and the seats fit both children wonderfully. The seats are more narrow than a single jogger, but in order to fit through a doorway they need to be, which is an easy compromise to me. My children (even the big 3 year old) fits comfortably. No, the footrest isn't ideal for the older child with longer legs, but that's standard on any double jogging stroller. Foot rests are best on inline strollers. The footrest did not disappoint me, and my tall son keep his legs on comfortably. There is plenty of room for him to grow into the stroller even more. The cup holders are great! There is a spot for both kids to have a drink, and the snack can be set on the tray as well. The seats recline easily, and would hold an infant rather comfortably as well-great support. The separate sun shades are a must-expecially with different aged children. It doesn't pull at all to one side or another-very well balanced even with a 20lb difference in children. The front swivel wheel is a must. Just to clarify for anyone who has not owned a swivel wheel jogger...you can NOT jog with any swivel wheel jogging stroller in the "swivel" position-on any stroller. That's why most joggers are made with a fixed front wheel. The swivel wheel is great for walking and for maneuvering tight spaces, and since the release and lock button is on the adult handle bar, it's a quick switch back and forth (a MUST in my opinion! I have had others that you have to manually "release" the lock at the front wheel-not worth it!). This stroller is easy to pop up the front tire for moving over curbs, bumps, etc. We live in the city, and a stroller that handles all of these things is necessary. It goes "off roading" smoothly as well! Wonderful quality fabric and feels very sturdy. Folds fairly compact and is probably less than a foot wider than my single jogger. It is heavy and rather large-but again, that's what comes with a double stroller. MP3 player is not loud at all, but I didn't plan on using that feature anyway. Adjustable handle bar is great, wheels pop off easily for storage, underneath basket is LARGE and holds so much! I STRONGLY recommend this stroller, and like I said, I have tried them all. For the quality, price and simplicity of it, you can't go wrong.

Review by Bear City Dad : Better than advertised 5 Star

I considered purchasing either the InStep Safari or the Schwinn Turismo and went with the Turismo. The price points weren't that different - less than $50.00 I believe. The Turismo had more features AND is better than advertised, I'm happy to say. The frame is sturdy, the double cup holders alone are worth the price difference when compared to InStep's safety bar, the tires are wide, the stroller folds easily, the wheel release trigger functions perfectly, the individual canopies are much more convenient than InStep's single canopy, and the seat covers and belts are top notch. The superiority of the Turismo became all the more apparent to me when I had the chance to see the InStep Safari at a store. The Safari is certainly functional, but the difference between the two strollers is like night and day. If I were willing to spend $500.00 for a Bob, I'd buy a Bob over a Safari without question. But I believe the Turismo stacks up to the Bob - at nearly half the price. It's nice to at least feel like you got more than you paid for these days!

Review by mommie : the perfect double jogger just isn't out there... 4 Star

this was our 5th, yes fifth double jogger purchase. My kids are 2 1/2 years and 11 months. I haven't been pleased with many double joggers, but I have to say, this one is a pleasant surprise. the perks: -REMOTE swivel/lock the front wheel control. um. this is amazing. you won't find this anywhere else in a double. We do have it on our single expedition by baby trend (who didn't put the same feature on their double.. which was one that we purchased and returned) -overall quality of material. The tires are BIG. the frame is nice. the fabric is not cheap feeling. -parent console. sorry. I'm not terribly impressed with it. the plastic pocket with a lid is super cheap and not deep at all. the cup holders are nice bc of the rubber inserts, but not big. as I said we had the double expedition by baby trend and it's parent console was much better. but still.. a perk nonetheless as they are hard to come by... why I have no idea. -width. It can fit through standard doorways. -completely separate kid seats separated by a metal bar. thank you schwinn. -sun shades. separate sun shades that pull forward to adjust to any level of sun. I like to keep the shade tilted forward quite a bit so I can easily see both kids' entire bodies. -adjustable handle bar. nice touch. still not high enough for my 6'5" husband, but a significant improvement compared to the other strollers we have purchased. -kid trays. also nice touch. positioning not a huge problem for us. my 11 month old uses it as a foot rest at times :) -surprisingly smooth ride for the size. shock absorption is good. easy maneuvering. the drawbacks: -overall large and kind of clunky feel. probably bc of all the 'extras' which is worth it I suppose. -no break bar. separate red push break buttons on each wheel. -no pockets behind seats. self explanatory. -seat positioning/head room/foot room for toddlers. the seat is literally on top of the very small triangle platform, if you look closely at the picture you can see this. my 2 1/2 year old is in the 80th or 90th percentile for height but I seriously see other 2 year olds that are bigger than him all the time. when sitting in the left seat, his right leg can fully extend but reaches the very tip of the triangle platform. his left leg has nowhere to go but hang off or be tucked under his right, or sit at an angle with both taking over the platform. also his head towers over the top of the lambskin and seat back. the sun shades are nicely arched though, so he has a few inches before hitting the top. however, nowhere to rest his head for sure. I docked 1 star for this as it could be a deal breaker for many families. I mean, how much longer can my 2 year old be comfortable? If he is pleasant on walks, I would love to be able to take him with us for another year at least. with this stroller I just don't see that happening. neutral comments: -there is a hard insert in the bottom of the under seat storage baskets. I suppose this is nicer than a mesh basket, but doesn't seem to make a big difference to us. -speaker quality is EXTREMELY low. I read comments on this, however I was still surprised at how poor they are. I was expecting them to be like the double expedition by baby trend, but they are much much worse. I can actually see hot glue all over the speakers connecting the wiring. it should be kind of embarrassing for them to even include these. they look like they cost about $0.50 to make. however, I still use them for my 2 1/2 year old who absolutely loves music. I have the ipod on full volume and I still cannot hear what song he is listening to, but he can hear it bc it is literally inches away from his ear. -the lambskin is soft and removable for washing purposes. -the windows in the sun shade are small, but this isn't a huge problem as you can easily tip the sun shade forward and see everything you want. overall: I really am pleasantly surprised with this double jogger. This really might be the perfect double jogger for you if your kids are between the ages of 0 and 24 months. maybe perfect for twins! *side note - we ended up purchasing a used baby jogger city elite from craigslist for $400. we are pleased with it in every way except the lack of remote swivel/lock control and the sun shades. It really does seem like in the double jogger world that you get what you pay for.
